Apicola de Oriente, S.A. (APIDOSA) began operations in 2006 as a result of a partnership between the two largest honey producers in Nicaragua, Mr. Fernando Guzman and Mr. Agusto Garcia. The sole purpose of this union was to produce honey and develop the Nicaraguan apiculture in order to promote honey export in a variety of presentations to an international market.

Before the creation of Apicola de Oriente, Mr. Guzman and Mr. Garcia exported their honey in 300kg drums to Europe. Currently they are working with over 2000 beehives that are continuously increasing in numbers. 

Nicaraguan honey has acquired prestige and high demand in Europe with its soft and sweet taste, due to its excellent aroma and flavor. APIDOSA´s honey is produced in fields located in the central and pacific regions of Nicaragua, sweetly picked by bees from a variety of exotic and dry tropic flowers.
